Meet Teddi and Wendi

Teddi is an Akita mix girl dumped at a
shelter in Georgia. This picture
was sent to several of us. Immediately Joann from Akita Rescue in
New York and Dori Akita Rescue in Jacksonville and Palena –
Sanctuary Animal Refuge in Clewiston Florida were pounding away at
the keyboard. In moments and because of networking – Claudia had
him out of pound – and on her way to a vet where she tested positive
for erlichia – roundworm – mange and ringworm. Suddenly we had a
problem as we needed to find a new vet who was willing to take her
that was equipped with a quarantine area. Again keyboards were
clicking away and Shirin made arrangements for her to go to Town and
Country Veterinary Clinic in Marietta Georgia. Now more transport
was needed and again the network was buzzing. Ellen and Dori have
managed to get her to Marietta where she will be under the care of Dr.
Good. She will need a lot of care and medical treatment. She will be
heartworm tested today and we almost fear hearing the results.

Now meet Wendi – this little girl was hit by a car. She
was allowed to sit in Animal Control for 7 days without
any treatment. We received this picture of her and heart
warming pleas from Shirin and one of her friends named
Wendy. She now is in the care of Town and Country
Veterinary Clinic. She has a hip that is broken and is
being examined – we are not sure if she can keep the leg
but will try and do out best. If not well she can join our
other three legged babies. We will be updating on the
website about her. Through the network we have been
able to get her safe and out of pain – she is secure and
calm and Wendy and Shirin say a big sweetheart.
Both of these dogs are sweethearts and deserve good care. If it were not for the
networking of those
involved – only two of the ten people involved in this even lived in Georgia.
They are safe. We need help
with these dogs and Dr. Good has agreed to take donations via check or credit
card for either of these little
girls. When they are well enough to travel they will go to the Sanctuary Animal
Refuge. If you can help
these two it is appreciated. The account set up at Town and Country is Acct. No.

770-971-1556 for credit card, or mail to1343 Greshem Road Marietta, Ga, 30062.

Rescues Newsletter.
