The Sanctuary is always a fun and peaceful place to be. This March we were blessed
with some of our children and grandchildren coming to visit Although both children have rescued rottweilers they
had not been able to visit the sanctuary. Both live in the city so we were excited to see how they would
like the very rural area we live in. The first day they were a bit nervous with so many animals but soon the kids were playing matador with Flops - feeding the emus - petting the horse and playing with all the dogs. It then became tough to get the kids in the house or wanting to go anywhere. Nothing is a better feeling than watching your children and grandchildren try to save lives
and want to do nothing but spend time with the animals. The second day there Jody helped to try and save the life of a pup. The third day as we were coming home from the beach neighbors gave us a brand new baby pig that they had found on the side of the road. My two grandsons tried to save its life. Sadly both did not make it as they were both too far gone. But to see the compassion and love for animal reach down two more generations truly warmed my heart. Our daughter was out there with the pups and dogs and had a great time.

Hercules demanding his love from Jody

Marquis playing with Flops

Flops was a big hit with the boys who would play tag with him. Flops was a willing player in the game chasing the boys to butt them for attention.

Jaz and Osito made sure to include Dancer in the water fun - Dancer loves the water and loves to be sprayed and bathed

Rex loved the kids - he and Marquis sharing a moment

Jody staying up all night trying to save a puppy

The kids loved watching the miracle of birth as a tiny duck hatched while they were here

The visit was too short for us all. Back to the city went the kids and grandkids but I am sure they shall return.
