Plato is one of three that was confiscated in a cruelty case.  The other two were so bad they had to be put down.  I received a call about this dog and went to see him.  Mind you this picture is after he gained weight.  On that day I was upset as the Sanctuary's beloved Special Ed was having seizures and we knew he would not make it.  I believed in my heart Eddie wanted me to continue to work with severely abused animals and brought Plato into my life - so I took him.  What a love he is.  He is so sweet and trusting.  We will work hard to get him well - get him heartworm treated and get him ready to a good loving home who can show him that life is good.  Eddie passed the night Plato came.  There had been a name on this boy as Cocaine - which just shows the type of home he had been in - we call him Plato as he often sits and contemplates life.  We thank Eddie for the many months of love and inspiration he gave us and Plato will be one of many of the dogs we bring here under the banner of Eddie's Special Angels.

We call him one of  Eddies Angel.  Those who know the Sanctuary know the story of our Special Ed who we had for 8 months.  So badly beaten with a bat that he was blind in one eye and deaf in one ear and had severe brain damage.  Eddie's great love of life and people inspired many people and touch many people who had ever met him.  In his honor we have dedicated a part of he Sanctuary to others like him - badly abused and with many needs.  Angel comes as a gift from Eddie just a few days after his passing to the rainbow bridge.
