Sherri Berri and her three little ones

5/20/2007

I received an email regarding a rottie female with 8 pups that was in a shelter in Georgia.  Some of the rott rescues had been contacted but had declined because Sherri has a tail and so do her pups.  5 of the pups died in there.  I agreed to take them and Holly said she would transport.  They arrived Saturday.  Sherri with runny nose - pups coughing Sherri coughing.  Immediately they were all treated.  Their are two female and one male pup - all are as cute as can be.  We named Sherri after our manager at the Sanctuary.  She is one of the sweetest rotts I have been around.  Loving and kind - sat still for shots - meds - is housebroken and had not one worry when we treated her pups.  No worried when staff came in carrying a ferret to ask me a question.  She simply was happy to be loved and safe.  She is a good mother to her remaining babies and we already have fallen in love with her gentle nature.  These babies are about 10 days old and very sick - they all need your prayers.

If you are interested in Sherri or her babies and one day taking one of them home please let us know by contacting pdorsey@sanctuaryanimalrefuge.org
