TEDDY BEAR

My name is Teddy Bear.  I am six weeks old.  A breeder called and said that she had me and that I had twisted legs.  The Sanctuary of course said they would take me.  I had a very long trip and it took 30 hours to get to the Sanctuary.  I was very tired and I was coughing too.  Boy they move fast around here.  I was given fluids and it hurt but made me feel better.  I have been on antibiotics too and am feeling much better.  Palena is the Executive Director (whatever that is, I know its important because everyone including the animals listens to her) and I live in her room and stay with her 24 hours a day.  I have to be fed often and helped to go potty but I am happy.  She says I am very beautiful and that God has a great sense of humor and put my feet on backwards so that I could come to her.

I also have other friends that love me too.

This is Miss Laura.  She gets very happy when I come to her house.  We visit with her three days a week and I like it there.  She has a dog named Joey who loves me too and lets me chew on him.  She has a cat named Kitty who lets me bark at her then she runs.  I think she knows I cannot run after her as she comes back so I can bark again.

  This is my friend Joey - he follows me all over the place and even comes in my room there to see if I am ok when I have to go to bed

I am learning to go potty on pads and am doing very well.  I am very happy and very playful.  I have a friend Gigi she is a French Bulldog and she tries to treat me like a baby so I have to get on my back feet and bounce on her.  I think she thinks she is my mom and Anjou thinks I am a toy

At night I say my prayers.

Palena says that even if my feet are backwards if I pray then my prayers will be answered.  My prayers are to have my feet fixed and my own home.  It will be several months before I am ready to go to my home and thats ok because we will be getting my feet fixed.  Then when I go to Miss Laura's I can really chase the cat.

Hello its me Teddy - boy have I been having fun.  I have a new friend named Joey and he is such a great friend.  He is an Australian Shepherd and let me tell you he is very very patient with me

As you can see he les me attack him - he says he is making me exercise and he also lets me try and eat out of his bowl but I am not tall enough but again he says it helps me to stretch out my hind legs and makes me learn to get around.

I am finally over my bad case of pneumonia and well we are going to get started on getting my legs better.  I have gained a full 10 ounces and I am as bouncy as they come.  You can see my videos at
